PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project involves the renovation of a private lakeside cottage in Ringwood, New Jersey. The interior design concept aims to create a refreshed, airy interpretation of traditional cottage living. The design features a palette of cool lakeside blues and crisp whites to reflect the natural light from the water, resulting in a serene and spacious feel within the compact footprint of the cottage. Key elements include slate blue upholstery, dove gray walls, and white architectural trim. A heavy-knit, denim-toned sectional paired with a sleek white marble coffee table creates a harmonious balance of "cozy" and "chic." Classic wall molding and a tray ceiling with integrated perimeter lighting add height and a sense of luxury to the room. To introduce warmth and prevent the cool color scheme from feeling clinical, mid-century-inspired walnut wood is incorporated for the desk and shelving.
